Special Features of the Secutrac positioning Hardware

When using an accordingly equipped and configurated SecuTrac device like the SecuTrac ConTrac, additional monitoring functions can be realized easily, as for instance a motion detection alarm or an automatic alarm function when the surveyed object is leaving or entering a pre-determinated geographical area (GSM-Cell(s)). This feature can be very useful e.g. for the automatical and self controlled monitoring of (construction-) machines or also vehicles without any position inquiry at all.
Practice besides showed that a positioning accuracy of a few meters, how it is possible by GPS systems is not necessary in most cases at all. Mostly it is sufficient to know that the container or the truck is in a certain industrial area or close on Highway No.xx.
